Exciter
equipment
Our static exciters
have been in worldwide service for many years. The most frequent
applications are alternators driven by gas, steam or water turbines of
20 to 1200 MVA. In order to increase the availability, the controls
will be executed digitally and redundantly. The fans employed for
cooling can be dimensioned, if desired, with the double capacity. We
will design and elaborate solutions according to your wishes.
Our company is
specialized in modernizing existing plants. We can substitute rotating
exciters by static power electronics. Existing rotating exciters
register remarkably high losses and have a time lag in controlling. The
static execution of the exciter performs very dynamically in case of
load disconnection and avoids high overvoltages. The inherent losses of
a power station can be reduced notably and therefore the payback of the
investment for the modification is secured.
Excitation equipment up
to approx. 700A of the series TRM are supplied under the logo
SEMIEXCITER for motors and alternators. For larger power plants,
especially for alternators of power plants, we supply such equipment
under the logo SEMIPOL..

Starting inverters
For refurbishing power
stations we design and supply starting inverters for gas turbine sets
with approx. 4 MW and large hydro turbine sets with a starting output up
to 20 MW.

For multiple alternator
plants we supply commutation gear, so that one starting inverter can
start e.g. 3 alternators.
Power electronic
equipment for control of motor and alternator in pump storage plants
The following picture
shows a 10 kV inverter for a synchronous alternator of 21,3 MW for
reequipment of a pump storage plant. This 6-pulse inverter with
intermediate circuit with constant current makes it possible to
control the speed of a machine set with primary and secondary

High current plants and
supplies for electrolysis and arc furnaces
We supply large DC
converters for steel melting furnaces (EAF). For the chemical industry
and different electrolysis plants we design water cooled rectifiers and
transformers. The plants will be laid out according to the local
requirements. We can supply rectifiers up to 1200 V and 40 kA in B6
connection or approx. 300 V and 60 kA with interphase transformers..
According to the requirements we can supply rectfiers with thyristors or
diodes.

Thyristor
Converters
With
the new series of thyristor converters Thyro-S, Thyro-A and Thyro-P of
AEG we are presenting the new Thyro family which has a widespread
communication property. High availability, reproducability and
communicability are a basis for excellent and amply documented quality
in application.
AEG
thyristor converters operate, control and regulate electrical energy
worldwide in industrial applications, beginning with simple tasks with
low cost optimized analogous converters up to complex applications for
highest requirements. AEG thyristor converters can be found where
melting, heating, drying and transformation with precision and
reliability are required. Apart from high product quality according to
DIN EN ISO 9001, the Thyro family offers safety for application
processes by experience in research and development. We can offer user
specific solutions with special requirements.
Resistors
For
heating equipment for the control of slipring motors, lifting magnets
and other applications, our self cooling resistors are suitable. A
resistor equipment consists of a casing and the built in resistors. The
design varies between cast iron resistors, wire resistors , steel frames

Power electronics
For control and automation purposes, we
offer thyristors, diodes, diode modules, diode phase control and
choppers.
Accessories
Our
scope of supply covers e.g. contacts and contact components, braided
connectors, current leads, control leads and bus bars / collecting bars.
Converters
We
supply voltage converters, current transformers and DC-DC- transformers
for transport systems.
Electro-hydraulic lifters and servo drives
We can supply spare parts for electro-hydraulic lifters
of AEG ELDRO. For revamping and repair of controls we can supply AEG
DREHMO servo drives.
